Kate & I saw Wicked Tuna over the weekend, and I only have one criticism: It's not that believable and is kind of unrealistic. I mean, how often do fishermen radio bogus numbers to one another to send others on wild goose chases? Also, I have a hard time believing that despite a lot of water, other boats will get so close to one another as to snag an anchor. I mean this stuff never happens on the bay, right??
But seriously folks, I was in hog heaven watching this over the weekend, and some things in the water I guess are universal. I like deadliest Catch well enough, but I can relate more to Wicked Tuna since these guys are hook and liners. I also liked the way that they address and discuss the conservation aspect of these threatened bluefin tuna.
I have my DVR set up to record Wicked Tuna in case I miss an episode.
