Default Choptank QUALITY !

After the miserable weekend we got out yesterday with a party from the Mgr of the fishing dept at Cabelas! It was very snotty in the morning but it laid down nicely at 10am, but by that time we already had our limit with fish up to 32" We had a short ride back to the dock but we played C&R on the way in. There was a CLOUD of birds on the water from Cook Pt to Bar Neck on TI.
We went through once and all 7 rods went down The smallest was 24" and the largest was 30" !! We passed a couple of jiggers and watched their faces as we threw these beauties back
Today we couldn't sit on the dock so we took a "fun" trip with friends. It was flat calm and a beautiful dawn as we headed up river. Very soon there were birds diving everywhere and fish breaking all around. Lines went in at 6:30 and by 7:45am we were done with fish up to 33" These fish were from 22 to the bigun at 33 and FAT Almost every one had peanut bunker in their throats along with the lures It's amazing how they gorge themselves and still bite the lures. The fishing is as good as it gets right now hope you guys can get out to enjoy it.
I took a couple of pictures this morning, hope you like them!

The pictures look great wish I was there only to have the time..
The time change Is killing us best we can do is get out 2 hours before dark
Looks like nonstop action for your clients I bet they had a good day..

We did well in the South River yesterday afternoon but this evening was a bust..
The seagulls looked fat and happy when we got there I guess we missed the party.
Thanks for the report I enjoyed it keep them coming.

Jimmy

No where near the same luck north of the bridge yesterday...Seemed like folks on the radio shared similar poor stories...

However, the early evening and just a bit of sun got the bait out north of Gibson Island for an hour or two. Acres and acres of bait and mixed birds provided a lot of fun up to 23", most around 20"....Was non stop casting bucktail/twister tail combos in anywhere from 10' to 22'....Lots of boats hit the area and after a long while of feeding the fish moved on....

Trolling both larger bucktail/twister combinations and umbrellas with Storms did me no good from the mouth of the Patapsco to Baltimore light and back...Bait was there, fish were there (at least on the screen), very, very low in the water column but not biting.....

Congrats Charlie !
