Default Light tackle in the Chester 10/16

I hate light tackle! I am sooooo lost with out the broomsticks. Felt like an idiot running and gunning all morning. We fished around the Eastern Neck Island bridge, Grays Inn creek, reed/grove creek, piney point, mouth of Langford Bay, out in the middle of the Chester, and probably other places that I forgot about. It just seemed pointless and I got frustrated quickly.
Caught a couple shorts on topwater and 1 keeper Jigging in 24' of water. It was a whopping 21"!!!! I find I am MUCH more comfortable trolling and may have a table at a flea market this winter with a whole bunch of LT stuff on it!
Had a handful of buddies out above the bay bridge and they all caught a lot of shorts with a few mid/upper 20" occasionally found in the mix.

I'm with you, give me a trolling rod any day. My LT Saturday took me from Tolchester to Hodges Bar to Swan Point to the mouth of the Chester then back up to Pooles Island before I gave up. All for 18-19" fish. There was a tremendous amount of bait at Pooles Island but nothing under it. I am pretty confident that i could have had my limit by 9:00 am with a "broom stick" as you put it.
