There was a post on TF a while back about braid.

Seems only 3-4 companies make it. They vary color / recipe slightly but all in all - most braids are very similar.

One tip a TFer posted - he reverses the braid once a year. The braid deep on the spool is almost like new - so you get extra season from it.

Braid is tough - buddy took my 2 year old braid when I respooled. He still is using it after 5 years.

I know some charters have 10 seasons of hard use on their 80lb braid.
