Any Action around Pooles Island?

Does anyone fish in the upper bay around Pooles Island? Anything going on up there? I am planning to hit that area this weekend.

6' Knoll and Man of War is loaded with perch. Can't tell you much about Pooles sorry.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot and let you know what I find. If it looks windy I will just stay inside Middle River though. I will have my wife and son with me.

Fished for perch all day Sunday. Started South of Pooles. Caught some Nice perch to about 13". Nightcrawlers on #6 hooks. Tried a couple other spots but the tide was gone.

Moved in to North end of HMI. Doubles on every cast, but all were small.

Plenty of tiny spot and medium channel cats mixed in.

We probalby caught two or three hundred fish between the four of us. Kept 20 to eat. Head/gut/scaled and deepfried. Delicious!

Oh, and then we had to race a little storm back into Middle River. Watched the lightning storm from the porch of my folks' house. Glad my brand new antena didnt get struck.
