Debated weather to run south today or stick closer to home. Ended up saving the fuel and fishing just south of the West River with several others. Boxed 4 fish under and 1 over and had a short throwback. Lost a nice fish due to a failed leader that got chafed thru. 3 fish came from Capt John's spoon umbrellas, 1 on reg umbrella deep, and one on FIsh On from Salisbury.
Fished 30'-40' of water and various lengths from 12 bars to 3 bars. I need to change over to smaller stuff and haven't done that yet. Shorter seemed to be a little better for us. Marked lots of stuff but they only wanted to eat for a small window it seemed. May go again tomorrow and Monday before heading north for the summer. Thanks to Marty and Mark for helping me find some fish for today. My crew and I were still supposed to be in Watchaprauge but left early cause the bite stunk. The boys thought we made the right call after we had a few in the box!!

Thanks for the report. When you downsize, are you going to stick with chutes & shads, or are you going to go with the storms/tsunamis with in-lines? Are you still running boards?

Sorry to hear about Wachapreague. We're thinking about going down there, but only of there is a half way decent bite. Congratulations on finding them in the bay.

River- I plan to run tsunamis, buck-tails, and prolly tandem Spankin Stripers (instead of BFGs cause everybody runs them and S S seem to work way better.). Most of the time during the summer, I like to leave the dock with a full cooler and come back when it's empty cause it is much less pressure then taking a empty cooler out and trying to fill it.

As far a Wach,VA goes, my boys that stayed did find a few today before coming home. Not enough that wish I had stayed for 3 full days. Mrs Paul's makes a great fish stick you know!??!!?!! Cheap......
