Default A Bright Spot in this Storm

Well, I finally went out to check the mail. It was too windy and wet to enjoy looking around for destruction so I hurried back in. Unfolded the mail and found best news I've seen in awhile.

My daughter, Anna is on the cover of MSSA Tidelines!!!!

This has been a very big fishing year in our house. Anna has always fished with me but when she became interested in the contest, we basically got carte blanche to fish as much as we wanted. I mean everyday is okay!!!

Anna and I have both learned a lot and have had the most fun fishing ever.

Thanks to MSSA, Marty's and Clyde's for helping make it happen. I hope more folks see the light and get the kids out fishing, it is a great tradition.

Good luck to everyone thru this storm. We'll be back out there scouting and catching when the waters calm.

Congrats to Anna - great to see MSSA promoting getting kids involved in fishing.

Thanks Skip

There has been something about the time fishing that I can't express, but I can remember fishing and hunting with my Dad and how it was different from the time we spent at home. There has been a renewed closeness in our relationship that I haven't felt since she was about 2-3 years old probably but like I said, it's not something I can really put into words.

She deserves it. She's probably outfished 90% of the internet fishing pros that like to tell us all what we're doing wrong.

If you mean me - yup. She outfished me and my neighbor just the other nite. We had about an hour to play and were able to stop at three locations to try and jig white perch or rock and she outfished me and the neighbor pretty noticeably. I felt like I would kind of catch up but next thing you know, sun was going down and that was that.

My copy is drenched.

I guess I'll get to read it in about 3 more days.
