Default Got a 52 pounder on opening day!!

Thought it was a rock fish didn't you!

It was quiet, uncrowded and a great time. Caught 10 for the grease and a monster to release. Got a 28" rock also that was released. If you want to try something different, give Capt. Mike Starrett a call...............Gary

Awesome! I love catfish.....batter em' up and throw em' in the deep fryer.

I think Capt Mike posts a lot on the Crappie forums. from the sound of his reports and the look of his pictures he seems to do quite well. I've been thinking about booking a Potomac trip some day. Guess I should get a full time job first though.

That fish went back in the drink. I did keep 10 that were 3-5 pounds and they were delicious. The big cats have too many toxins in them. PCB's, mercury and poop from Blue Plains It qualified for a citation but you have to kill it as it is an invasive species. No catch and release. I could not kill that fish for a citation. Let some one else have the thrill of catching him again!...........Gary

Gary I'm with ya.....A fish that big needs to be enjoyed by others.

I only keep catfish up to about 6 or 7 pounds depending on where they were caught.
