Default Here's a hypothetical for you. . .

OK guys,
Let's say you're trolling in the fall and it's sort of rough and you're sort of preoccupied. So distracted, in fact, that you don't see the crab pots until it's too late. You take immediete evasive action but catch a bouy in your planer board.

Now, you're boards a huge and it doesn't affect the board but you start dragging it. You reel in all your board lines on that side and winch in the board while still trolling, but, by the time you unwrap the pot from the board, you're in 108 feet of water and the pot only has 60 feet of line on it so it will most certainly become a ghost pot and probably snag another of your lines if you drop it anyway. Oh, and it has a dozen #1 males in it.

So. . . what would YOU do!?!?
