Can we do a 1 of 2 days depending on weather? Like Sat Oct 12 or Sunday the 13th if weather is better?? Pushing “Safety First” to the DNR I would think might work.
And just to be clear, I meant we would ALL fish the same day, a “weather committee” would just decide which day looks better to fish. (Not trying to drag it out over 2 days).

Here are a few other (smarta$$) thoughts:
Beside fishing Bodkin Creek zone only, we should limit the tackle. Maybe only trolling Rock Hall Red hoses only?? WAAAIT at least prohibit Green Glitter ANYTHING! And no live bait, 5 rods max, no stinger hooks or barbs of course. It should prolly be a C&R tourney with photo submissions only. If you accidentally kill a fish, you’d have to do 40 hours of community service at SPSP.
Of course we wouldn’t make people feel bad by declaring an actual winner but we would evenly spilt the prize money and all get our names on the trophy just for participation of course). We may have to change the name to something like “What’s the point?” Millennial Fishing Conservation Derby tho
Thoughts?

(Ps- I’d assume you realize I’m really only serious about the weather committee declaring the tourney’s actual fish day part. So times I crack myself up tho)

Mailed letter of intent to DNR today requesting October 12th as date for the tournament. Thanks for the input.

Thank you Michael. That is the weekend after the Annapolis Boat Show. Maybe I’ll be fishing my new 70’ Viking instead of the JUSTIFIED!

Hopefully I’m invited and we’re not fishing in the bay!

I’m used to being a pit monkey on that boat! It’s just a couple dollars go for it!
