Default Skunk in the Chester

Tried to break in the new ride today. Trolled Hail Point to the mouth with 5 rod spread deep. Marked lots of fish on bottom around 40 feet but hooked nothing. Trolled Tony's, hoses, BFG, bucktails, stretches, even some kinda spinnerbait thing- no love. Beautiful day though so guess blood will have to wait til tomorrow (hopefully). Trying below the bridge in the morning with the boards. Might luck in to something.......

Most people had a similar experience yesterday. Looks like the bite was off, up and down the bay (at least to Breezy).

TF is showing a couple good reports from down Buzz's so maybe the bigger fish are starting up the bay.

I'm going to take a little time and get all my big stuff and boards together so I can trailer down perhaps next week.

I'd rather do poorly looking for big fish, than poorly looking for small fish.

Good to know that we weren't the only ones having a tough day. We still managed 2 fish, and saw 2 or 3 others caught around us, but overall it was a tough and disappointing (fishing) day.

The weather and beer however, were both at the right temperatures.

Today was so nice; I skipped watching the Ravens and set up all my rods with the coresponding reels (I have a mix of 309, 320, 330, 340, and 113H).

Now that that's done, I need to put together my tandem's and umbrella rigs with the proper weight lures. Maybe Tuesday because I'm fishing tomorrow.

Default Sunday 11/11 - What a difference a day makes...

Wow...So both Friday and Saturday were great days with great friends...However, the fish were not even close to cooperating...In those two days I fished from the Choptank almost to the Patapsco....2 fish to show for many, many hours of fishing....But any day with great friends is a good day...

To make it even worse, I got some water in my fuel tank (Don't Ask) on Saturday and it made it very, very difficult to cover a lot of ground....Scott and I made the best of it and got 2 fish...So today I headed down to the marina to try and get the water out and get the motor working...About an hour later I was ready to get her out for a test run...Was not too bad, looked like things were running ok...

Headed out (Never leave home without rods...) towards White Rocks to a couple of nice areas I have found...Got nothing...Figured it was going to be another bad day in the pattern...Headed back closer to home to some of the good ole spots and within 15 minutes I had 3 on board, 2 were keepers...Stayed out for about 90 minutes....Ended up with 5 fish...All very nice fish...Used a lure I don't usually use, a 2 oz bucktail with a long twister tail...One thing that stood out today was that the fish were not "stuck" to the bottom...Still not a lot of bait around, the water was very clear, and the weather was perfect...

Some pics from today....Hope you all have a good week...
