Default Fiberglass boat seat box

Anyone know a place that sells or makes a box like this in MD/DE or VA?

Here is a box on eBay for $400.00 US, close to the size I would like. This box is 14.9"H X 32.6"L X 16.9"W

He will ship by air for $314 or by boat $190 from Australia, just not sure how well that would go.

If you are not looking for an exact match to an existing one, try calling Bill @ judge yachts. I know he offers a seat box with a livewell built in because his demo boat has it. Denton would be a lot faster and cheaper way to go; pick it up for a $6 toll and a tank of gas!

FWIW though, $400 for that box seems pretty reasonable. It's the freight and the wait that is a killer. Shipping by boat could easily take 2 months to get here! Good luck with the search.

Thanks Jeff,

Bill is going to take the measurements off the box he has.

The guy in Australia said shipping it by boat would take 8-12 weeks. I'm not in a hurry to do this, just planning my winter projects.

Did you ever find what you needed?

I looked high and low last year for one locally and found one to use but then decided not to use it. Its a different design from the ebay link you provided. They are almost impossible to find locally and I thought about making a mold out of mine to build and sell.

If interested I can get you the measurements and some pics.

I did find someone in North Carolina that has them. I made a wooden mockup using his designs and with adjustments, I still can't make them fit inside my boat. Guess I need a bigger boat! I was able to correct a problem with my pedestal that started me on this project in the first place.

Thanks

Capt. Charlie

I made a wooden mockup of a seat box and can't make it fit inside my boat. The cockpit bolsters and the fuel tank hatch on the floor won't allow the size I want. Need a bigger boat! I was able to correct a problem with my pedestal that started me on this project in the first place.

Thanks
