Default Blown out

Attempted reef trip yesterday out of Islamorada but the south winds and thunderstorms kept us at the dock. Decisions, decisions on Wednesday. Suppose to go out of marathon tomorrow but winds will dictate whether we take my friends four year old 52’ Viking or his brand spanking new 72’ Viking. I leaning forwards the 72’ and get spoiled! On a positive note I have been able to get on a boat!

Hmmmmmm....a 52' or a 72'.....sounds terrible either way!

(Although the only time I ever got sick was on a 52' boat off of the Outer Banks on a hot September day after drinking all night and skipping breakfast. So I learned my lesson.....never choose the 52' boat!)

Managed a short ride outside the reef on the 72’ and 35 knot winds and 10-12’ seas was just too much for this old crew. Will say the Viking has led the seas beautiful but trying to fish was tough, couldn’t keep baits in the water. What a beautiful yacht with every option available on her. $12.5 million buys a lot of boat!
