Default Did You Pull Your Boat?

Garlien and I pulled his out this morning before the rain. The marina lot was full of boats, but at 9:30am they said they only had orders to pull one more for the day.

There's still at least 50 boats in the water there; most of a pretty good size but quite a few small ones with potentially only one battery and one bilge pump. I wish them luck.

I'm lucky - she is on a trailer inside a garage , safe and sound.

You know folks with boats still in the water will toss / turn all night.

Only good news - predicted storm surge near Annapolis looks to be 3-4 feet.

Isabel had a 7' surge and that was managable for most people.

I pulled my boat with Isabel, unfortunately the highest elevation marina on the island would not pull any boat over 30' this time.

Docked her at a friends property and spent the night checking her every hour.

So everyone's boat made it ok? We had a bunch still in the water at our neighborhood marinas but we didn't lose a single boat. The bow of one sailboat took a beating from the lines being too loose....smashed into and under thie pier quite a bit.

Its times like these that I'm glad that I dry store at the marina. My boat was high and (sort of) dry...
