No doubt. Last night around 7:30 bait was POPPING all around the shallow water of Eastern Bay.

I was sitting outside with my wife and she said, "What the hell is that sound?"

It's happiness honey.....the sound of happiness.

I cast about a dozen times and caught a small White Perch.

At some point there were bigger splashes but of course I didn't target those.

This is much earlier than last year. And although I've seen Osprey on the other side of the island the nest behind my house is still empty.
