Default The Fat Lady Sings

So today is the end on the Chesapeake Bay Rockfish Season I know we can still run to PLO and Virginia for some keeper rock, and the ocean season is still in play; but for most of us, today ends our season.

I had hoped to have the boat "buttoned" up before the freeze last weekend, but I found someone to come tomorrow and shrink-wrap her for the winter. I hung all my rods up in the basement today (don't forget to back off the drags).

I'm already taking stock of things I need to resupply from the shows this winter. I always need to replace lost sinkers, all new snap swivels, and some new line (both braid and mono) goes on my tackle.

It was hard to see her "froze up" when she had spent the previous winters in indoor storage; but she gets "tucked in" tomorrow until spring.

I'll see some of you at the shows. If you don't have a pair of "Fish-Off" gloves, buy a pair this winter with some of your Christmas money

I hear you Jeff. They just called, they are on there way this morning

I had to pour a pot of hot water on the battery hatch to get it open this morning

It's a little "frosty" out there.
