They are running a lot further north than that! Some of the boats I saw yesterday appeared to be running 1.5 - 2 hours north. I don’t know if they made the trip from their home port or someplace closer but they were fishing near me. One boat came in and set up next to us and had a limit of small fish and were packed up and headed back in about 20 minutes. The mate yelled over to us bragging. Believe it or not, I didn’t have the heart to burst his bubble that we had waaaay bigger fish and burned 1.6 gallons to get there!
