Up here we don't see them but if you go to black water in may there all over the top the water.The may worm is about 11/2" long and is some what of a bloodworm and if you pick them out of the water they pop open and die.The red worm in our oysters is our bloodwormand the one's you buy in the store comes from up north.

Default may worms

Was told by someone older than I then the Rock need the oil in LY's to digest them after gorging themselves on the May worms.
