I hadn't run my boat since Jan 2, which was off of OCMD where we had a slow but decent day on rockfish. With the very cold winter I feared some issues somewhere along the line. Fortunately the only casualty was a bilge pump, which I replaced last night. The bay water temp was 40.8 degrees and we didn't mark any bait. We did see an osprey with a menhaden in its talons on Saturday. I know fish are making their way in the bay since I am getting reports from various locations of big fish being caught, including up by BPL.
Here are a few short videos from my iPhone of the boat running on glass by the Bay Bridge.
