For bucktails - I just use some laundry detergent. Mix up about a few ozs to a gallon of bay water in 5 gallon bucket.

Keep it in corner of boat and wash / dip bucktails when you check lures.

As you sadly found out - bleach destroys bucktails.

The nylon on parachutes is tougher but can be washed same way. The detangler spray and comb really help keep that type hair straight.
