Default I can't stand seeing zeros......

In the column of threads/replies/views so I'll be the first to post in the Delmarva Freshwater section.

I absolutely love the Pocomoke River and I spend between 10 and 12 days a year fishing there out of Shad Landing.

The Crappie fishing in the spring is fantastic. The Largemouth and Pickerel are a ton of fun too.

Anyway, I hope maybe some kind pond owners will offer up a day of c&r on their eastern shore ponds to me, or fill me in on where I might find a few hidden gems.

I, for one, am hoping someone can point him in the right direction....I need something to do Decemeber through February.....

I don't think the pool in my backyard is going to qualify for "pond" status yet....

On a nice sunny winter day, you can find me on the banks of some ponds on the eastern shore. I like to put shiners under bobbers and watch for bass, chain pickeral and crappie. One of my favorites is Smithville Lake. Marty

Smithville has unfortunately suffered a terrible fishkill back in August. I was there with some friends and we saw thousands of dead fish floating down near the dam. all species too; shad, largemouth, bluegill, catfich, pickerel......it was really said.

Caught my first pickerel ever there about 12 or 13 years ago on a topwater torpedo.
