The Spot seem to be holding up well but for how long....anyone knows. We replenished our 3 , 55gal holding tanks on Monday. Despite the weather report we had to get out yesterday so we got a crew together and off we went. We headed right back down to Stone Rock where we had good luck on the weekend. There were three of us there, two H&L boats and us. It was very slow although we started off with our biggest Blue this year followed immediately, on the same rod, with a real nice 26" Rock.
It died after that and we had to make a move. Went south to Clay Bank but didn't mark anything. Went over to the Gooses by #3. A few H&L boats were there but again they were not doing anything. Found some real good marks about 1/4 mi away and proceeded to pick away at small rock and Blues for awhile. We had 5 keeper rock and a few nice blues when I got a call to come back to Stone Rock. The blues were going nuts
. As soon as the spot hit the water it was eaten by big blues!! On the light tackle we use for LLing, we had a ball! Most of the time everyone was hooked up or busy landing fish!
We filled the cooler with big blues and finally left them biting.
