Tested out my New Thread, Pretty Day
Was itching to get out and test my freshly respooled reels with the Suffix 832.
Hit Sandy Point Friday about 11:00 AM, found a EMPTY and I mean empty parking lot, which kinda surprised me. Headed out under the Bridge and went to ES Rock Pile. Found a strong outgoing and a small Boston Whaler, drifting North to South. They nodded that the fish were cooperating, so we pretty much figured out the drift, and started hooking up right away. Nothing huge, I'd say 15 to 20".
We played with them for a couple of hours, and then committed the ultimate sin, leaving fish for fish. Just searching around the Western Shore Pile, nothing but dirty water.
Bobbed in and out of a few supports, nothing. Went over to Eastern side of Channel, nothing. Sooo.. back to the ES.
Joined by another boat and pretty much got back in line for the same drift.
Tide finally eased up and we called it a day at 3.
Water temps with 41.2. Jig heads were 1.5 oz. Most productive colors were hot pink and Opening Night.
