Default Offshore Angler 4/0 Rod & Reel combo

Gang,

What's your thoughts on BPS Offshore Angler 4/0 combo for $109? I'm looking to add 4 of them to to my collection of 330gti's. I think they would handle 20"
umbrellas a little easier then my 330's. I would also look to double the usage with a little bluewater trolling. Understanding you get what you pay for,but the price is inviting.

Bill (smellslikefish) on TF uses them...I think...and swears by them. Drop him a line.

4/0s and 113-Hs are the same. While I'm no expert at trolling, the 113-H's I have don't have enough drag for trolling unbrellas. A 113 has max drag at 15 lbs. while a 114 or 6/0 has 25 lbs. of drag at max. Hope this helps, Bob

Shawn, have you ever thought about getting some really nice Custom Rods built. I know that I would never be able to touch BPS prices but I can guarantee they would hold up to any abuse you give them. Let me know if you’re interested and I can give you a really good deal on a set of 4.

Bill on TF fishing always prefer to use them...The all you need to do is to drop him a line and you will surely found everything perfect over there.
