New Respect for World Cats....
Lets face it, World Cats "look funny". The double hull seems more suited for blow boats. I despise blow boats with a passion, so I've never really paid much attention to a World Cat.
My attitude has change 180 degrees, and I think I'd actually buy one.
Its a fishing machine. With plenty of platform space, larger than large fish box, larger than large live well. Cozy captain seats, instrument panel from hell...
Whats not to like ???
Yes it " steers funny", and if your on the bow, the gunnel is a tad high. I can over look both with the comfort, dryness and economical twin 130's.
Add a 1000 rod holders, as I witnessed today... Nice....
What say you ????

Life is too short to run an ugly boat.

I take it you were on Ron's boat.. I say go for it if it meets what you are looking for. Looks to be a great boat
Dont know much about the world cats but my dad has a pair of twin 130 Hondas on his Judge 27 and despite the fact that the motors were 9.5 years old and well over 1000 hours, they are replacing a powerhead this winter due to a casting problem with block. Honda issued a 10 year warranty on the powerhead... Now that is backing a product!

i don't care that you don't like sailboats; just don't understand it. don't like sailing, or the sight of them on the water, both?
my brother-in-law in jersey hated them. same thing, i couldn't tell why and have to guess he saw them as some sort of insult to the way he was raised or something. really not sure.
i sail some and fish some and can tell you the sailboats mean no insult. as a fisherman, i think they're generally better conservationists. biggest problem i have is they seem to creep up on you and have right of way but they're pretty easy to avoid.

I have been on that same boat in 6' seas. Nice ride.
I also have been on another brand of cat 22' in length in the ocean, where the captain launched his off the top of some fairly big seas and no jarring or pounding.
Both easy on the back.
Not so on a 27' cork.

They are like "fat chicks", a lot of fun to ride, but I wouldn't want my friends to see me on one .
Seriously; never been on a world cat, but a friend of mine has a glacier bay that we use in windy conditions. Takes the chop nicely.
"Corks" are ok too .

world cat?
Why would you want to go faster than 16 knots anyway??? You would have to put down your sandwich.
And planers flip when you try to LTJ at those highway speeds....

I'm gonna go out on a limb, and call that a Judge 27.
