Left the slip under the cover of darkness. Wanted to be fishing by sunrise. Ran to the mouth of the Chester and deployed 7 boat rods. Mostly bucktails and a couple spoons. Tried to keep everything close to the bottom as that's where the fish were. No birds all morning
LOTS of marks but fish were really spaced out. Boxed 6 fish in the low 20's and had 3 shorts. Fished from 18'-30' of water.
FINALLY saw a few birds on splashes. Pulled the spread and decided to give jigging a shot. Caught 3 fish in 30 minutes bouncing bottom- 27",29", & 29.5". Came in 1 shy of a limit = a great day.
Saw a shiny new 27' Judge out there too (Brain - Bsuppin10). Found him on VHF68 and said hello. He was working both sides of the Narrows today
