Default looong day

We launched at SP just as the sun was about to come up, ran over towards Mattapeake & marked fish by the time we put the spread out we had loads of company. It looked like a weekend out there & many times we we're pinched by other boats & couldn't troll where we wanted. at 2pm we got a skinny male 33" rock off the right planerboard with a white 4oz June Bug parachute 80' back. We had put downriggers on the boat for the first time but apparently they weren't deep enough for the fish. Ended the day with 1 fish after 14 hrs of trolling & 48 miles......was a tough bite, wanted to sacrifice a donut to the gods but couldn't bring mysellf to do it.

Forrest; you are not the only one finding it harder this year. Glad the boat ran well, and you and Shorty had a good day together.
Stay in touch. 5th (Marty)
