late report
Sorry for the delay but I had some things to take care of.
Went out Tuesday with Marty and my friend Dan for a shake down trip.
Headed south and deployed our spread in 60 feet of water just above the bridge. We put 4 rods on one board and 2 deep boat rods.
Checked deep water for a while then moved a little shallower into 45 to 58 feet and saw better marks there. Trolled north with the tide zigging across the western shipping channel and finally found some fish that were not glued to the bottom in 47-55 feet of water. First pass and we got a 43" fish on the furthest line to the board out 100' withh a 2 and 4 oz tandem. Fish hit the 2 oz lure with a 8" twister tail. ( Yes Marty, now you have to buy a bunch of twisters).
Made two more passes in between two cargo ships and got one knock down that didn't come tight on an umbrella with a 10 oz lure and a 8" shad back 80' and again the furthest line to the board.
Great day with friends on the water.
Marty posted a picture of the fish on another post. I don't have a pic to post right now.
Water temp ranged from 42 to 48 degrees. Our bites came in a pocket of 48 degree water.
