We fished out of Southern MD today and were sort of forced to the Potomac River due to the dense fog and early stiff winds out of the ENE. I really didnt want to dodge ships in the fog and the seas were a bit sporty first thing. There are some deep water areas in the Potomac so I decided to troll there to start with. I thought we were going to have a bang 'em up day as the screen loaded up with bait and marks and with us hooking our first fish before the 3rd line was set. Unfortunately we ended up with a slow pick of fish to 34" . Only 3 went over 30" and there were several under 20". I think our bite was marred heavily by jellyfish constantly fouling our lines. I had to work hard to keep them clear. We spent some time jigging light tackle in the afternoon and that was slow too. We found birds several times on small fish but did squeeze a keeper out of them.
