6 rods in the fall... Here is what I would run.
- Solo 3oz parachute out 200' (9" bait)
- Solo 5 or 7oz parachute out 170' (9" bait)
- Tandem 3/6 out 150 (9" bait lead, 6" bait trailer)
- tandem 5/8 out 130 (9" bait lead, 6" bait trailer)
- umbrella w/16 oz out 100' (2x 6" bait trailer)
- umbrella w/ 28oz out 70' (2x 6" bait trailer)
Gotta mix in 6" baits in the fall with all the juvenile bunker coming out of the rivers.. Plus it helps with the sub 28" fish. A few of our biggest fish have come on 6" baits.
