Last time we fished side by side, I would call John on the radio and tell him I was "hooked up", I told him to drop in beside me and circle up current. He would, without result. This happened about three times. We brought some nice fish over the sides.
Next thing I saw was him headed south and me headed north. I called him on the cell and asked where he was headed? I thought maybe he had received some new information. He said, " I'm getting the hell away from you, I'm tired of watching you catch fish
". Luckily, he didn't have a charter that day. Just a bunch of friends out for a "fun" trip. I'm sure the "friends" didn't have my spread out correctly
and that's why he wasn't hooking up.
