I learned a lot from that article....had no idea the dam was that old, nor did I realize how much sediment actually flows through each year.

Indeed the bay was a terrible mess for weeks after that storm.....and that was just the visible damage. For 3 weeks we had to slowly navigate around logs, islands of debris and other man mad waste floating in the water.

It's sad that we're just now in the "funding studies" stages of restoration. Seems like I've been hering the same things for 25 years now.


I can say though, taht once the debris cleared the fishing still stayed pretty solid. We're still catching nice Rockfish and lots of White Perch and they all look really healthy.
