I used pine and the corners were real sharp and the pine is splinter prone so I fired up the router table to round over all the corners. Hopefully they will still bite in the water.

If it is free it is worth a try in my opinion. You wouldn't have to paint them so you could whip out a set in 30 minutes. I'd be interested to see how they work.

Ya I am still using the threaded rod, the PVC is only setting the spacing. It cost less the 4 bucks, so I am not out much if it doesn't work. The feel real solid so i am hopeful.

Little Perch slayer

New to the forum and fishing the bay. Took my Daughter out several times and she beat me every time out. All I heard was "FISH ON" followed by "ITS A KEEPER." Brings a smile to my face every time.
