Report out of Sandy Point SP 4/13

I had a sea trial this morning and decided to fish while the boat was in the water. My good friend and regular fishing buddy reeltor was my crew for the mid day trip. After a calm morning for the sea trial, we had a tide change lull for our start of trolling. With the lack of tide we had a slow start. However as the tide moved to flood, we picked up the bite and a few fish. The largest went 41". The strong tide quickly built some short steep 3-4'ers against the stiff NE wind and paul had to pick up his kids so we headed for the barn. Another fun day on the water. The fish, seas. weather and company made for another great adventure on teh bay!

Note that the water clarity was very bad until you got below TPL. It was like coffee up by the bridge.

Here is a quick shot of fish that was quickly returned to the water. Note that I bought some nice rubber coated gloves to ensure minimal slime loss to the fish when handling for releasing. I got them cheap at Home Depot.

:D No doubt it was getting rough. I have a pretty high bow on my boat and the occassional wave was over the bow  We were as comfortable as anyone could be though. Pleanty of room out of the wind and weather ;):p

Good job Greg, did you give Paul some extra rubberbands:D. Am I seeing a loop knot on the end of your leader? Are you trying to reduce terminal tackle to keep from spooking fish, or are you just cheap:eek:. Seriously, do you always run them like that?
