After Pond Fishing Last Week......
 

And Marty catching a few nice Crappie I'm DYING to get down to the Pocomoke for some killer Crappie fishing.

We camp for 4 or 5 days at Shad Landing every year and take a deep fryer so we can grease our intestines with everything from chicken, potatoes, shrimp and bananas to of course...Crappie!

Floating a small jig under a bobber and fished up close to shore seems to be the hot ticket in late April when we're there.

Come on spring!

I was up in Joppatowne today so I stopped by Mariner Point Park in time to talk to a young guy named Ben who had been Crappie fishing for about 3 hours up there. Said he caught 5 or 6 small ones, let them all go.

Said they weren't biting deep so he went shallow to get those little fish.
