Bread Crumbs

Well, I can view my GPS chart again. Yesterday, Mako Mike and I were at the marina and we were comparing his chart plotter vs mine. He picked up a new HDS 9 Touch and bought a navionics chip for it.
My old HDS 8 Gen 1 (not touch) has a Navionics Platinum Plus chip which Mike liked better than his chip.
But I digress; while we were "fiddling" with the machines, I finally cleared my "trails" from the last two years. I had so many lines running all over my unit, I could hardly tell which trail was old vs new.

When trolling, I like to circle back over a place where we just hooked up. Now I will be able to accomplish that goal again:eek:

I left all my waypoints, but at least I can "read" my screen again. All the contour lines were "covered":D

Those breadcrumbs can quickly make one's chart super chaotic and worthless... I like clearing them out weekly before heading out of the marina... For multi day tournaments try clearing out and then running a new breadcrumb color for each day. Easier to make sense of where you were the day(s) before and what was laid down when.

I had two years worth of trails:eek: I keep my waypoints, which are most important.

I simply got lazy about removing them. One thing for sure, I would never had any trouble finding my way back to my slip:eek:
