LTJ @ Love Point & up the Chester

Didnt make it out friday but got some pullage today.

We got a late start and it was probably 1 PM before we got over to love point.
We found some gannets with dinks underneath and jigged a few but decided to move down into the chester farther.

current was a bit slack but we managed a limit of 4 all between 22-24"

we had one decent size school break the surface near us with some pretty good size fish but they disapered very quick.

About 4 PM the water was dead calm and I never saw so much bait in my life.
It was wave after wave of giant schools of bait fish rippling the surface heading down the chester.
I kept waiting for rock to show up but it never happened.

Then right before dark headed back out of the chester and saw alot of boats & birds everywhere.
Stopped for awhile but nothing but dinks so headed back home on the west side hoping for more bird action on better fish but saw nothing.

It was a gorgeous day and the 4 keepers made for a nice dinner.

I was tempted to sell my RAVENS tickets and get back out there tomorrow.

Gannets up near the Chester:eek:. You're not pulling my leg are you? This is to put all politicians, and proponants and opponants of slots at the mall, there is no need to call me on the phone this week; I'll be on the water:D.

Yeah thats them...lol

I guess they were terns.

Just watched a few videos of the gannets diving and that would be awesome to see in person.

GANNETTS?

Oh, wait, you meant terns. Yeah, they like the glass minnow/silversides...

Liar birds are a good description, but not always...
