Series of pics from today.
Mikey, the mate on Bay Lady, helped me pull it and strip it down. It's hard to believe I had this much crap on a 27 foot boat yet, nothing was ever in the way....

Prestige Yacht Management is coming to wash it, wax all the bright work and shrinkwrap it for the winter.

Still trying to decide when to catch a flight to Liberia, Costa Rica....February is looking pretty good!

I thought you were starting a second career:D. How can you work, go on vacation, and build me that livelinning barrel too:eek:

Are you having anything done to your engine before you shrink wrap?

I feel better, or maybe worse, my pile of fishing stuff is smaller. Really have to think about the better or worse thing some. I think, or maybe not. Enjoy the off season!

Why the hell you keep a lawn tractor on the boat ? :D

It is amazing how much gear we carry.

Saw that wall mounted rod holder in Pic # 4, what did you use to make it? Thanks, Mike

At least "Fishing Flea Market" season will be starting soon.

So we'll be able to buy a ton more crap that we probably won't ever use.

Marty, they keep pushing my new job start date back so is you want me to put you a bait tank together, just give me your credit card and I'll get busy.

Mike, The rods are in plastic AFI Rodholders, which are spaced based on reel width and screwed to a 1X4, the 1X4 is screwed into the studs.

Unless all your reels are spinning reels, I highly recommend buying the SINGLE rodholders. That way you can space them as you see fit. The ones that have three rodholders as a single unit have the holders too close together for most baitcasters or trolling reels.

The wife is getting pissy because she can't park in her side of the garage.....guess I'll have to get busy tomorrow and get all this stuff stowed for the winter.

Did you keep your security clearance:D
Seriously, figure up how much it might cost. I'll buy you a beer at Happy Harbor and give you the cash:). I like the setup you have on Hell's Bell's.

Tawn,
We moved into our house with a garage 25 years ago. Back then the garage was full of which ever bass boat I owned. Now that I have a bigger boat in a slip, the garage is still full of stuff that belongs on the boat or that I may need one day:rolleyes: It's a sickness, kind of like women's shoes taking up 3 closets, except men like garages:D.

Tawn,

I should be fishing out of PLO in the next few weeks and until the end of year. Let me know if you are in town and want to fish. :)

Vacation is over! They called yesterday....I start my new job Monday. Can you believe they have the nerve to expect me to work 40 hours a week!

It's going to take some getting used to, for the past 10 or so years if I wasn't deployed I could pretty much do whatever I wanted, when I wanted - It was nice being an MCPO/E-9.

Now I just have to figure out if I can get off for our annual billfish trip to Costa Rica.

Marty, I'd be happy to help you put together a bait tank, but this weekend is shot shopping for dress clothes for work! :(

BTW: Remember Pearl Harbor today - 7 Dec 1941.

Chessie27 12-07-2013 09:48 AM

Welcome back to the work world and be happy it's only 40 hours a week! When I got my job I thought it would be a 9-5. Turns out it is usually 8am on Monday - 6pm on Thursday  Good news is Fridays are only 8-5!!! :)

Good luck with the new job. As for the 40 hours, just remember The Little Engine That Could- "I think I can, I think I can..." :D

40 hrs. a week:eek: I hope you work Monday Tuesday Friday Saturday Sunday, and have Wed and Thursday off to fish:D

Capt. Charlie 12-12-2013 06:16 PM

Tawn....If your wife is getting "pissy" over that neat garage, I invite you to come and see mine! She will never utter another word to you about your stuff!!
