It's a tough bite when may worms are hatching. The bottom has billions of these worms and the fish gorge themselves on them. Should be over very soon though. They are just getting big and fat to be caught live lining:D...........Gary

Can anybody point to an authoritative source for May Worms? I'm interested in trying to figure out the spawning cycles of these guys. Reason I'm asking is because back in the 1st week of May, I was noticing them down south out of my usual haunts at PLO and it shut the bite down. Now is sounds like they are in full force up north but what triggers the spawn? Water temps I'm assuming but then that theory is thrown out of the window because temps were way cooler 1st week of may down south than they are now up north. Any ideas?
