Flushing Engine

Have a 200Hp Evinrude and want to buy new ear muffs. Just curious some are round like mind now and others are rectangle. Never used the rectangle one. What one is better or it doesn't matter, thanks.

I don't think it really matters. Most newer outboards have a plunging port built rite into the cowling that allows you to hook a garden hose directly to engine so you can flush it. I would be surprised if your motor is not equipped with this port. It may have a plug in it or like my yamahas a hose from water pump that delivers water to engine. I simply unscrew the fitting and screw hose to it and flush. With these setups you are able to flush while boat is in water.
