sunday report mid /upper bay

decided to stay closer to home for a weekend. the Hong a has been steady on fish and crab but the drive is a killer....

Sunday launched from Sandy point. Put some miles on the boat from popular to rock hall.

Did a little jigging but could only find small fish 17" - 171/2". Found the Chesapeake beach fleet who were catching a steady. All the fish were 18"- 20" just couldent compete with live spot. Moved on found some more under on eastern shore lumps.....

Some small perch in shallow water on oyster shell bottom. No spot:eek:

Moved north captain john spoons caught a few nice fish on the troll. No weight back 110:cool:

Found a few buddies anchored up chumming who had a nice grade of fish on the cooler....

They pulled anchor and we made a the short trip to rock hall to grab some refreshments....

Nice to be back in the big boats:)

Nice to have a short trip to the ramp for a change huh? And a big comfy boat!!

This weekend I trolled outside the chummers off Love Point and did ok. Wasn't setting any records with sizes but getting them 14"-24" with one larger one. At least my hands and boat doesn't stink like the chummers do! :D
