Simrad / Lowrance Instructional Seminar - Who's Interested?

We are going to have the Navico seminar this Wed, the 17th, from 6-8PM at our Kent Island Store.

325 Cleat St
Stevensville, MD 21666

If you are getting here by GPS then use 100 Island Plaza as the street address.

We will be covering NSS, NSE, HDS, and Elite units. Hope you can make it!

Jim, thanks for putting on the seminar! I picked up a few tips that I will find helpful. Things I found useful to me were:

For sonar setting, use the 200 setting (shallow water)

For sidescan/downscan, use the 455 setting (shallow water)

Match your transducer to your unit
Go into sonar settings, match transducer from list of available options
Also set unit to shallow water (for bay fishing)

Make sure on your gps settings, that WASS is enabled (for accuracy)

Set gps to "local" not "global" for accuracy

To do a "soft reset" (it will not delete your waypoints or trails) push and HOLD the zoom in and zoom out buttons, while also pressing power button

By going into "settings" then "system" then "about", this will list everything you are running and how you have your unit set up

Do not use transducer paint on your transducer

Clean screen with only a microfiber cloth and a little water

I believe my notes are correct, thanks again for the seminar!
