Weekend is shaping up!
I was a little scared of the tropical storm, but it looks like the offshore forecast is OK for this weekend:
FRI WINDS BECOMING S 10 TO 20 KT. SEAS 3 TO 5 FT. SAT WINDS BECOMING W TO NW 10 TO 15 KT. SEAS 3 TO 5 FT. SUN W TO NW WINDS 10 TO 20 KT. SEAS 2 TO 5 FT. Anyone plan to get out in search of shark or tuna? We caught 5 blue sharks Sunday and an enormous false Albacore at the Lumpy. We were one bluefish away from an offshore garbage slam. |

Had a great weekend in Chincoteague. We took our whole office down there for the weekend and did some fishing. Spend Saturday hanging out on the sandbar, but ended up with 5 keeper flounder on the way back. All on minnows from Capt Steves. Biggest was 23".
Went off Sunday for shark. Hooked 8, landed 7: 2 tigers, 4 dusky, 1 baby mako, one huge mako. Of course the only one we lost was the huge mako. I have caught 200# mako before and the fish that we had hooked up dwarfed a 200. Great weekend fishing and now the office has a tale of the one that got away. |

Whoever got to fight the big Mako probably still a smile on his or her face. |
Weather looks great again this weekend. I'll be looking for YFT at the Washington. See you guys out there.
I'll be fishing out of Chincoteague Fri & Sat. If you are down there give me a shout. Boat name is Schedule Sea. |
