After talking to jeff on Friday, I was optimistic about catching anything on Saturday. Decided spending the day on the boat would be better than anything else I would get into. I decided to stay north and went to the triple buoy area. We marked a bunch of fish inside as soon as the boat came off plane. Set the spread and went east to west as much as possible since everyone else seemed to be going north to south. We had our two man limit by 8:30 but only kept the one that my buddy wanted. 1st fish hit a buck tail tandem off the board that I had put out to try and catch any small males lurking in the area. I was very surprised to catch a 37" fish on it. 2nd fish hit a tandem parachute off the boat. We hung around a little longer trying other areas and ending up catching a short on the way back. The weather got nasty and we called it a day. We did hit a wave on the ride home that broke my rocket launcher. Luckily when it dumped the rods they all landed on the deck. I will be making the repairs this week for next weekends outings or maybe I will just cruise the Chester in the new 18 Judge.
