Lowrance LRA-2400

Is this available and what can I expect out of this unit that I can't get from the LRA-2000? Have the 113cHD unit that I will be using.

Well, we have no info yet on availability. I would bet on it being the middle of this coming summer. Digital radar basically allows the signal to be manipulated better, presenting a better picture from the same data that a regular radar would have presented. The new HD radars will be the only game in town for Lowrance in 08, I would not bother to upgrade if you already have a Lowrance radar, but I would certainly buy one of you plan to add radar.

I don't currently have radar on this boat. I would like to add as soon as possible. I had the LRA-1500 on a Everglades and it was OK but was hoping for something a little better. Also would like to be able to overlay the radar screen on the gps screen. The Lowrance units have given me great service and I think I would like to stay with them unless I am giving up a lot to another brand.

Let me know and by-the-way thanks for all your help with all my other electronics issues. EP-20's seem to be working fine. Have still got to set up the fuel monitoring though.

I think you will be fine getting a Lowrance radar dome. Looks like it will be a nice add-on for '08. Radar overlay is a must with today's radars and they now have that.
