Raises the cost of a dealer's license application from $25 to $100. Doesn't sound like much, but help me out math whizzes....wouldn't that be a 300% increase? Reduces the validity of a temporary boat number from 90 days to 60 days. I've never bought a new bought before....is this a big deal? At face value it doesn't seem to be. But HOLY CRAP the 2 year registration fees are going through the roof!!! And if you want a replacement copy of your title? Not $2 anymore (which I agree is on the cheap side...even though it took the clerk less than 40 seconds to process my request and take my money when I was there earlier this year.) 40 seconds of time, plus postage, an envelope and one piece of paper printed should NOT COST $25 as proposed. I understand the cost of operations, but for the state to blatantly bust our backs to MAKE MONEY on these mandatory services (if you own a boat) is outrageous to me. |

Awaiting responses from my 3 in D-30, but Mike Busch rarely sees a tax or fee hike that he doesn't like. |
