BOE Marine - New Mechanic

Hi guys, it's no secret we have struggled with engine mechanics over the past couple of years. It really is tough to find good people but we now have some light at the end of the tunnel. Many of you may be familiar with Abell Marine. They were a Honda dealer in Easton, MD. They closed about 3 years ago and we have been trying to get their Master honda tech to come here. Well, after 2 years of bad timing between him being available and us needing somebody he is finally making the switch to BOE. There is no better Honda tech in a 200 mile radius. Ed Bernard is his name, and he has been working on Hondas specifically for some 20 years. Ed is also proficient with all makes for routine maintenance, but if you have an elaborate issue requiring the outboard to be hooked up to a diagnostics PC it is always best to go to an authorized dealer.

We also have a new service manager. Her name is Candi and she has been in the industry for quite some time too. We have already noticed a major turnaround in communications and organization.

BOE Marine has always had our #1 core value as delivering the absolute best customer service. We have listened to your feedback and have made the required changes to reaffirm our commitment to customer service.

Thank you for your support over the years, and we hope to see your boat here this fall!

Jim,
As you say, "thanks for listening". While I can appreciate the difficulty in finding and keeping the best qualified people, I have to say BOE's reputation was slipping.
Even with my last experience, I was still impressed that you were willing to work with me and get me back on the water as soon as possible.
I hope your new personnel rise to the occasion and restore your shops identity back to its original luster.

Best of luck to you,

I can't believe this thread has 1106 views already. This is as busy as THT. Why is everybody viewing but not posting? Lots of people visiting this site!

Over a thousand views:eek: That's because the site is messed up:mad: Scott can explain.

We have been dealings with it for about 6 months.

You probably have about 15 - 20 real views from CBA participants.

Gotta go Fishin

Two Weeks Ago at BOE

Jim,

I'll post on this one, I am the guy with the Whaler that had the bad gearcase.

Had the pleasure of dealing with Candi in her very first week of work. She was knowledgeable, nice and cared about the customer.

Looking forward to meeting Ed. With that said, I am hoping that my Hondas don't have to go see him that often.

Thanks again for what I considered to be great service!

Awesome.

Someday I hope to afford a nice Honda powered boat just so you guys can service it!

For now I'll keep puttering around in my kayak. :D

Tawn,
I think he was the service manager, so I don't think he is still there.
