Jimmy Cantler's Riverside Inn???

Anyone ever eatin there before? Just heard of it myself and seeing if it's worth lookin into for a drive up (heard it has docking for boat access) for a beer and dinner. Thanks all! Won't be long boys and the big girls will be here! :D

My favorite place to go by far...it does have boat docking and you can see the shedder tanks, etc. Great place to hang out, we go all the time!

Phil, It is a great place to go by boat. It is on Mill Creek behind the submarine towers. Only been there once by land and don't remember how to get there. They have a nice outside deck and some great crabs. I hope you get one of those big girls this year Phil!!! We got to go crabbing too.........Gary

I used to keep my boat at the marine behind Cantlers . Good place for picking crabs. (although the place in St. Michaels is my favorite for that) For food by boat Deep Creek Restaruant is my favorite though. I also like Pussers downtown Annapolis!

Two things I dislike about Cantler's:

No draft beer (unless that's recently changed)

The outdoor seating is all long picnic tables sitting end to end. It never fails that I get stuck sitting where the two benches come together and the fat ass next to my group continuously wiggles around or gets up to piss every 5 minutes, causing my ass or leg to get pinched between the two benches.

The food is good, the scenery is nice and the water is calm back there.

Pusser's, although pricey since it's in Annapolis is definitely one of my favorite places by land or water.

Very Popular, and as many said great place to boat to. Used to go there all the time when I had a boat in White Hall Creek.

For a waterfront restaurant, I dont find their prices too bad. We usually get out for less than Cantlers there. I LOVE their jerk rubbed tuna. Wife likes the bacon wrapped shrimp skewers. Everytime I take my wood-free Judge 27 Chesapeake there I order the tuna ;):D

SOunds like it's worth a try at least. Heck, still tough to beat old Adam's Ribs since we launch our boat in Edgewater... The company i keep there ain't too bad either.

Was still true last fall when I was there.

In my opinion Cantlers is the baseline waterfront crab house. Everyone should go there first. Start with a tour of the shedding tanks and don't miss the colonial period artifacts they've dredged up and displayed in the cases downstairs. Don't get mixed drinks if you don't like plastic cups, and don't look for draft beer. The crabs are excellent but somewhat pricey due to the DC drive in crowd, the oysters are usually from Hackett's or Sandy Point (in other words, they suck). Docking is good and sometimes assisted, there's usually a space or two and it's a fun place for a party while you're waiting for a table. We usually take out of town visitors here if they're up for a boat ride, never by car. It's not a fancy place by any means despite the prices. If you go by boat, pay close attention to the winding approach into Mill Creek. It can get a little tricky going back out after midnight!

No problem for Shawn anymore, just follow the track layed down by your new HDS 8 lowrance. HOWEVER, Just for fun, I wonder what would happen if after several "Natty Bo's", we replaced Shawn's HDS with an etchasketch with lots of squiggly lines. Would he wonder aimlessly around Mill Creek for hours?

That etchasketch thing happens frequently. Crockett gets pissed about it, but he can drive in a pinch.
