The NE river was 44 yesterday... two and a half weeks and we should be in full swing!

The bay's been off for some time right now. Even on the Potomac when it's normally good all through winter.

Well at least you got the boat out and you had good weather what more can you ask for other then catching fish. The next couple of days with the temps in the high 50 should help things along even with the rian....

Water temps at Thomas Point for 3/9/2009 were 40-42. Temps seems to be in-line. I agree with Skip....13 rods has a bad ring to it.:D....Don

Don; how many rodholders on that new ride:D. FYI; I have valuable fishing experience off a 25 Maycraft (thanks Baldy) in case you need a knowedgable Ho. Just leave the net at home, and let me use my fish lipper.

It ain't the boat, it's the fisherman! What goes on on the May Craft stays on the May Craft!!

Good looking boat Don, looks a lot less flimsy than one of those plastic ones!

Good looking boat Don.....congrats!

We took the Stormy Petrel out for a shakedown on Sunday, guests were Swartj (Jerry) and Spynet000.....Capt.George sat in back and enjoyed the ride.
Had out 15 rods and dummy lines......marked fish deep (40 feet +) but only one knockdown and that was in shallow water....thermocline is at about 35 feet, it should flop soon and the bite will be on.

Marty - It has 14 and I have a couple of combo outrigger rod holders (Thanks Swartzj) that will give me a total of 16. I coincidentally have 16 rods rigged and ready to go:D. And lippers are welcome:D

Thanks for the report gents. I talked to Jim at Marty's late last week, and he told me that you heavy hitters were getting skunked. My reply was "it looks like everyone from Babe Ruth to Ted Williams to Cal Ripken just struck out" It looks like it's still a little early, but I'd like to get in a shake down cruise of my own soon and to calibrate my new auto pilot and try out my planers. Catching fish would be a bonus.
